Walter Sujansky, M.D. Ph.D.
President and Senior Consultant
Dr. Sujansky has worked in the healthcare information technology industry for over 15 years, and has expertise in the areas of clinical data representation, controlled medical terminologies, data-interface standards, and heterogeneous database integration. He has developed commercial products using a variety of healthcare terminology standards. He has also defined models and implemented systems for translating clinical data among heterogeneous information systems. Dr. Sujansky has experience in product management and requirements analysis, as well as the product development of electronic medical record systems and decision-support systems. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and received his medical degree and Ph.D. in medical informatics from Stanford University. Additional background information.
Samuel Faus, M.S.
Associate Consultant
Sam Faus brings over 9 years of life science and informatics experience to Sujansky & Associates, with expertise in systems integration, web application development, laboratory information systems, and chronic disease monitoring applications. He has developed web tools that enhance usability of and access to enterprise data systems for government organizations and private industry. His experience includes 3 years of project management for complex enterprise data management systems. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Oregon and a M.S. in Medical Informatics from the University of Utah where he received a National Library of Medicine Fellowship.
